Terms of Service

CLtimer is provided for personal, non-commercial speedcubing practice. You agree to use it lawfully and not to interfere with the service or with other people's use of it. Don't attack the service, don't intentionally disrupt races, don't abuse other users, and don't try to turn CLtimer into your personal cybersecurity training ground.

Race results should reflect solves you actually performed on CLtimer's timer. In a race you agree not to:

• submit times you did not solve, or edit/inject results by any means;
• exploit network timing, synchronization or reconnect behaviour to gain an advantage;
• join rooms in order to disrupt them, spam them, or harass participants;
• impersonate another participant through your display name.

CLtimer has no accounts, passwords or profiles. In multiplayer you choose a display name for the room. That name is visible to everyone in the room, so pick something you're happy for strangers to read. Offensive or impersonating names may be removed from a room.

Content you provide (display names, session names, imported scrambles, support messages) remains your responsibility. Don't submit anything unlawful, hateful, harassing or infringing. We may remove content from shared spaces such as race rooms.

You may not reverse-engineer for the purpose of circumventing limits, run automated load or scraping tools against the service, attempt unauthorised access to any system or data, or use CLtimer to distribute malware or spam.

Report bugs and security issues promptly through Cubora instead of exploiting them. Good-faith reports are welcome. Deliberately exploiting a flaw, whether for wins, for disruption, or for the story, is a breach of these terms.

CLtimer is provided on an "as available" basis. Features may be unavailable during maintenance, outages, or because a network somewhere decided to have a bad day. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

CLtimer may change over time. Features may be updated, removed, replaced, or thrown into the digital trash because they turned out to be more annoying than a 2-look OLL you somehow still mess up. These terms may also be updated; the date above shows when.

We may restrict or block access to the service, including multiplayer rooms, where use breaches these terms or threatens the stability of the service or the experience of other users. You can stop using CLtimer at any time; deleting your local data ends the relationship immediately.

The CLtimer name, branding, interface and code belong to their respective owners and are not licensed to you except for ordinary personal use of the site. Your solve data and session names are yours.

CLtimer relies on third-party hosting, backend and AI services to deliver certain features. Those services have their own terms, and their availability is outside our control.

CLtimer is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost solve data, lost races, missed personal bests, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of CLtimer. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case those exclusions do not apply to you.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of your place of residence are not affected by these terms.
