There are already enough cube timers. We made another one.
Not because the world desperately needed another timer. It didn't. We made CLtimer because we wanted something that felt fast, clean, modern, looked good on a phone, and didn't make you feel like you were operating a spreadsheet from 2007.
The goal is simple: open the site, see the scramble, solve the cube, look at the number, question your life choices, and immediately do another one.
What we built
We built sessions because apparently remembering your own statistics isn't enough. We built graphs because staring at your solves manually wasn't depressing enough. We built multiplayer because suffering alone is apparently less entertaining than watching your friend get a 19 while you somehow pull a 34.
- A precise hold-to-start timer with optional WCA-style inspection.
- WCA-style scrambles with a 3D cube viewer and scramble retry.
- Mo3, Ao5 and Ao12 statistics, plus graphs that track improvement over time.
- Multiple sessions, each with its own solves and stats.
- Live races with friends using a short room code.
- Exportable solve reports, and settings for almost everything.
How it works
CLtimer runs in your browser. Solves, sessions and settings live in your device's local storage, so the app stays fast and your practice data stays with you. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, and no email asking whether you've considered our premium plan.
Cubora
Cubora is CLtimer's caretaker. He's a character with a fictional 0.1246 personal best and a strong opinion about being interrupted mid-solve. He answers real questions about the app, he just does it with attitude.
Where it's going
CLtimer is actively developed. Features get added, refined, and occasionally removed if they turn out to be a bad idea. Suggestions are welcome, especially the ones that come with a clear description of what's broken.
You can race friends, track averages, chase PBs, grind sessions, and convince yourself that one more solve is definitely going to fix your average. It won't. But go ahead.
And when you finally get the solve you've been chasing all day, enjoy it. Because CLtimer has already generated the next scramble. It doesn't care about your feelings.

Found a bug? Something isn't working? Have feedback? Have a brilliant idea that absolutely nobody asked for? You could write it down on a piece of paper and throw it into your nearest dustbin. Or, you know, use Cubora. He's the caretaker. Apparently we're doing customer service now.
